Almost one million people listened to an interview that Elon Musk performed with Republican contender for president Donald Trump on X.
No mention of cryptocurrency was made during the two-hour event.
In an interview with X CEO Elon Musk on Monday night, former president Donald Trump made no mention of bitcoin (BTC) or cryptocurrencies.
The extensive two-hour discussion touched on a wide range of subjects, such as global warming, artificial intelligence, illegal immigration, and the economics.
According to Musk, there was a “massive [distributed denial of service] attack on X” that caused the interview, which drew in over a million listeners, to be delayed for more than 45 minutes.
Regarding The Reported Incident Musk Remarked,
“As this massive attack illustrates, there’s a lot of opposition to people just hearing what President Trump has to say.
However, a source told The Verge that this wasn’t the case and that there was a “99 percent chance Musk was lying” about the attack, casting doubt on the narrative.
X Spaces was experiencing global disruptions, according to an alert by cybersecurity watchdog Netblocks, but the alert did not specify if the outage was caused by a denial-of-service attack.
With nearly $600,000 wagered on the topic, bookmakers on Poly market were offering a 65 percent chance that the word “crypto” would be spoken during the interview.
In order to ask bettors if they thought “bitcoin” would be mentioned, the prediction market introduced another market.

If the forecast is accurate, each share pays out $1 in USDC, a stable coin or cryptocurrency that trades at par with the US dollar, and zero if it is not.
For references of other digital assets like ether, Solana, or dogecoin, Poly market did not spell out markets.
Traders had risked more than $250,000 on Trump uttering “Tesla,” with a top percentage of 79%. Nevertheless, Trump sidestepped the word by referring to Musk’s electric car brand as “your cars.”

Other terms that punters had chosen to pass on and that Trump ultimately said on X space were “MAGA,” “illegal immigrant,” and “tampon.”
A user going by the handle “bama1234” won little more than $1 million for accurately guessing the majority of the things that Trump said or did not say in the interview.
Their biggest bet, out of all the terms, was in Trump not mentioning “crypto,” which allowed him to cash out $336,918.
The user misjudged whether Trump would say “MAGA” at the beginning of the interview or “Trans,” as the user assumed he would, but the Republican candidate did not utter either of those things.
Even though Trump recently announced crypto policy at the BTC 2024 conference in Nashville, making cryptocurrency a political topic, mainstream events like the first presidential debate in June continue to ignore it.
